The Northeast Indiana Burn Council held its first annual Burn Reunion on Saturday, September 8, 2007, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, at the Dome on Engle Road in Fort Wayne. We had the small dome for our exclusive use, including miniture golf, buckets of balls for the driving range, the batting cages, unlimited soft drinks, a sundae bar from Clancey's, balloon animals and caricature portraits. Attendees also were greeted by a Fort Wayne Fire Truck from Station 5 when they arrived at the Dome.

30 people, including Burn Survivors, their families, St. Joseph Hospital Regional Burn Center staff, firefighters and board members all vied for door prizes, hole-in-prizes and "best score" prizes.

As one of the families said it, "Thank you so much, [my son] had a blast, as well as our family.  It was really great to be able to talk to other mothers who understood our situation!"

The event was free for all Burn Survivors and their families. We want to thank our Event Sponsor, St. Joseph Hospital, and our General Sponsor, Beckman Lawson, for helping us make this event possible.

We plan to make this an annual event, and possibly partnering with the Hoosier Burn Camp to create an even larger event next year. Stay tuned for more information!
