Gift-in-kind

Gift-in-kind donations involve non-cash, non-investment gifts.

Gifts-in-kind are, in many instances, just as good as cash. For example, if someone donated bottles of water for an event, this eliminates the need to purchase water. And if a corporation donates gift certificates for an event door prize, this again enhances the event without any out-of-pocket expenses.

In most cases, the Northeast Indiana Burn Council will issue a thank you letter for your gift-in-kind. Most donors can utilize the full value of the gift-in-kind for their tax purposes.

The list of needed items can be extensive, but a sample is listed below:

  • Gas cards
  • Gift cards/certificates
  • Food cards
  • Burn-related bandages (ask us ahead of time!)
  • Door prizes (let your imagination soar!)
  • Bottled water
  • T-Shirts for events
  • Office space
  • Travel vouchers

Our needs change daily; Email us for more ideas!
